Heavenly Hawaiian Kona Coffee Farm Tour Review
If you’ve been following my adventures long enough, you know that I’ve got two real weaknesses in life bourbon and damn good coffee. So during my time on the Big Island, I made it a mission to dive into the heart of Kona coffee country and taste the real stuff straight from the mountains. Heavenly Hawaiian Kona Coffee Farm didn’t just deliver the goods. It handed me a mug, gave me unlimited refills, introduced me to a farm cat tour guide, and wrapped the whole thing in healing Hawaiian coastline views.
This place? A must-do near Kona Hawaii. No excuses. Just Go!
Why Heavenly Hawaiian Is the Coffee Heaven You Didn’t Know You Needed

High above the coastline, tucked into the lush mountainside, Heavenly Hawaiian has the kind of views that slap you awake before the caffeine even hits. Standing on that hillside with a fresh cup of 100 percent Kona coffee in hand felt like someone hit the “reset” button on my soul. The breeze, the birds, the sunlight coming through the coffee trees it just works.
And yes, we did every tour they offer, but today I’m zeroing in on the Coffee Farm Tour, the star of the show.
The Coffee Farm Tour: A Walk Through Kona’s Legacy
This isn’t some quick 10-minute “look at the trees” deal. This is a guided walk through the entire story of Kona coffee, from seed to sip. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny, and the kind of person who genuinely loves what they do. That passion shows in every step of the tour.
You’ll walk through coffee groves, learn about the growing and harvesting process, understand why this tiny region creates some of the best coffee on earth, and taste the difference right there on the farm. Not in a shop. Not from a bag. From the source. You even get bonus fruit, veggies, and flowers to spot along the way!

And then there was the bonus guide. The farm cat. This little legend decided I was his guy for the day and strutted along with me like he was showing me his kingdom. I’m a sucker for animal interactions, so yeah, the tour went from great to downright magical.
Unlimited Coffee While You Explore

You read that right unlimited.
Unlimited 100 percent Kona coffee. Hot. Fresh. Straight from the farm.
There’s something wild about sipping some of the rarest, highest-quality coffee in the world while literally standing where it was grown. It hits different. It tastes different. And it made me seriously consider shipping a few trees home….
Spoiler: I settled for buying an irresponsible amount of coffee in the gift shop instead.
The Coffee Shop and Gift Shop: A Must-See Stop
The on-site shop is beautiful, cozy, and full of the kind of items you can’t get anywhere else unless you physically come up that mountain. This is a prime spot to stock up on premium coffee that only grows in this specific region, from only a handful of farms. I left with bags. Plural. Zero regrets.
And Then Comes Charlie
Look. I love my animals back home. And losing Joan has left a hole in my chest big enough to park a motorcycle in. So when I sat down with my coffee and felt a soft golden retriever head lean into me, it almost cracked me in half in the best possible way.

Charlie, the farm’s golden retriever and unofficial emotional support ambassador, is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. He hung out with me while I took in the mountains, waves, and Hawaiian air. Coffee in hand. Charlie by my side. Healing in real time.
Sometimes the universe knows exactly what you need. That morning, it sent me Charlie.
