Stop Sleeping at the Gate—This 24/7 Spa is the Real Airport Lounge
Let’s be honest. MSP’s “relaxation areas” are just overpriced chairs with a view of… more chairs. But take a 10-minute Uber ride to Bloomington and you’ll step into a world that feels straight out of Shanghai.
Relaxing Healthy Center is open 24/7. Read that again. Flight delays, red-eyes, layovers, or just the burning need to wash off the “I’ve been on a plane for 12 hours” funk—this place has your back (literally, with killer massages).
Why This Place is Next-Level:

- Traditional Chinese Bathhouse Vibes: Walk in and you’re hit with that steamy, herbal air and a “whoa, did I just teleport to Asia?” energy.
- Wet and Dry Relaxation Zones: Whether you want to soak, steam, sauna, or pass out in a zero-gravity lounge chair, it’s all here.
- Top-Notch Massages: Go basic or go deep tissue. The staff? Legit as hell. Note: Book ahead of time online!!! Massages are not offererd 24/7!
- Open All Night: Land at 2am? Guess what, they’re still open. After 1am, the price drops—so you can skip the dingy airport motel and relax like a damn boss.
- Traditional Chinese Restaurant: You hungry? Don’t worry, there’s an on-site restaurant serving up everything from dumplings to legit hand-pulled noodles. Skip the greasy airport burger and carb-load with the best of them. (Not open 24/7)
- Affordable Overnights: Overnight special after 1am, making it the cheapest—and best—hotel alternative within spitting distance of the airport.
- Super Clean: This isn’t some dodgy spa. Spotless showers, immaculate facilities, everything is dialed in for max comfort.
Who Is This For?
- Red-Eye Survivors & Jet Lag Zombies: This place will save your life (or at least your sanity) during an overnight layover.
- Pre-Flight & Post-Flight Travelers: Unwind before you fly, or get rid of that airplane stank when you land.
- Locals in Need of a Recharge: You don’t need a boarding pass to treat yourself.
- Bourbon-Soaked Travel Writers Who Like a Good Soak: Oh, hey, that’s me.
My Experience: The Secret Sleep Hack

Here’s what I did:
Arrived at 1:30am after a long-ass travel day. Instead of crashing at some basic chain hotel, I walked in, paid the overnight rate, dropped my bags, and let the steam rooms do their magic.
Soaked in the hot tub, relaxed on the heated floor (why don’t I have these in my house), washed off the stink of the middle-seat guy in 11E, and crashed in a nap pod for a few hours. Woke up ready to conquer the day.
There were maybe four people in the place. Nobody was fighting for outlets. Nobody was snoring next to me. This is MY new travel haven. And I almost don’t want to share it—but you know my motto: Just Go!
Final Verdict: Your Next Layover Power Move

The Relaxing Healthy Center is the secret weapon for MSP travelers. It’s open all night, it’s affordable, it’s actually relaxing, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to keep to yourself—but shouldn’t.
If you’re passing through Minneapolis, skip the basic airport hotel and treat yourself to something real.
