Free Admission for Birthday Guests
Every birthday should be wild!  Let Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo make it a birthday to remember. The birthday guest will enjoy FREE daytime admission into the Zoo to celebrate with 1,000 animal friends.  Guest must present acceptable proof of birth date: driver’s license, birth certificate, passport or military ID. Offer must be redeemed on the individual’s actual birthday with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not combinable with other offers or discounts.

 

Zoo School Summer Camps presented by Outback Steakhouse

Weeks of June 9-August 11 • 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (extended care available)

Zoo School at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo offers 100+ week-long adventure camps for students who have completed K-8th grades. Summer Teacher Appreciation Offer

June 9-August 14, 2014

Learning comes naturally at the Zoo!  Florida certified teachers of grades K-12 from Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Hernando, Manatee and Sarasota Counties receive a free Zoo ticket this summer. Teachers may purchase up to two additional one-day admissions at a discounted rate of $15 each (adult or child) for use the same day. Teachers will need to present valid identification* at the Zoo’s main ticket windows for entrance. Find more information here.

*This offer is valid for Florida certified teachers grades K-12 only, and may not be transferred to any other person. The offer does not include support personnel.  Teachers must present valid professional or temporary FDOE teaching certification, pay stub and Florida ID to receive this offer.

Grab a cool treat of your own, and head out to chill out with our amazing animals as they enjoy icy summer treats like frozen fruit kabobs, ice (juice) pops and frozen fish! These icy enrichments provide added hydration during the “dog” days of summer and encourage foraging behaviors to consume the treat. Enjoy music and fun with Radio Disney Tampa Bay too. This event is included with daytime Zoo admission and is free for Annual Zoo Pass holders.

It’s a pool party so the elephants brought their trunks! Join us for some fun in the sun as Mavi, the elephant calf, turns one. While the elephant herd receives a variety of special enrichments and birthday treats served pool-side, guests can enjoy music and entertainment from Radio Disney Tampa Bay, special activities, keeper talks and more. This event is included with daytime Zoo admission and is free for Annual Zoo Pass holders.

Saturday, July 26 • 7 p.m.-8 a.m.

Take a nighttime safari through forests and savannahs to discover some of the animals of this mysterious continent, led by Zoo School summer camp instructors. Price is $35 per child (sorry, no adults). Advance registration is required. Register online or call 813-935-8552 ext. 268.

 

19th Annual WaZoo Beer Fest presented by J.J. Taylor Distributing Florida, Inc.

Saturday, August 2 • 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Named one of the “10 Great Beer Festivals in the Country” by USA Today, this 19th annual tropical taste explosion features 275 beers and beverages from around the world, food sampling from favorite restaurants, and live music on multiple stages. Beat the heat with the “Beastly Beverage Club” (VIP-level ticket) in the Zoo’s the Safari Lodge — the only air-conditioned space at WaZoo — with early entry at 6:30 p.m. The Zoo will close at 3 p.m. August 2 for set up of WaZoo, which takes place rain or shine.  Animals are not on exhibit during the event.  All inclusive tickets start at $60 (early bird general admission) and are on sale atwww.LowryParkZoo.org/WaZoo. Zoo Run Run presented by Sagicor Life Insurance Company

Saturday, August 23 • Check-in 6:30 a.m., Race 7:30 a.m., Walk 8 a.m., Fun Run 9:15 a.m.

Join the Zoo for the 12th annual Zoo Run Run, a 5K run that winds through the Zoo and along the scenic Hillsborough River.  Children can enter a special “Fun Run” which follows the 5K.

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is operated by the Lowry Park Zoological Society, an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to excellence in education, conservation and research. The Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and has been named the No. 1 zoo in America by both Parents magazine (2009) and Child magazine (2004). The Zoo is located at 1101 W. Sligh Avenue in Tampa, one mile west of I-275 (exit 48) and is open seven days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with extended hours on select nights during special events. The Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. Zoo daytime admission prices are: adult – $24.95, seniors (60+) – $22.95, children ages 3-11 – $19.95, and children 2 and under are free.  Daytime admission includes amusement rides.  Parking is free.
