Today, I will share with you all the wonderful tour experiences available at EPCOT.  This article is a continuation of my previous post which concentrated on Magic Kingdom. Click here to read it.

Behind the Seeds – A 1 hour tour of the greenhouses & fish farm at the Land pavilion.  You will have an up-close look at the fruits & vegetables grown here as well as learn more about the new growing techniques including hydroponics, release ladybugs, & visit the fish farm during feeding.  Children are welcome & the tour costs $20/adult & $16/adult.

Disney’s Dolphins in Depth – This tour is limited to 8 guests per day!  Guests will wade waist-deep into the water for about ½ of interaction with the dolphins. (There is no swimming with the dolphins.) The tour will view backstage areas to learn how the dolphins are trained & cared for as well as observe a training &/or research session with the dolphins.  Guests will receive a photo with the dolphin & a t-shirt.  Guests must wear a bathing suit & a wetsuit will be provided.  No jewelry of any kind is permitted.  This tour lasts about 3 hours & is open to guests 13 years & older.  All guests under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult as no observers are allowed.  The tour is $199/person & theme park admission is not required.

Epcot DiveQuest – A tour designed for the SCUBA-certified who want to swim with the fish & all the other sea creatures at The Seas.  Guests will tour the backstage water filtration system to learn how The Seas is maintained then spend about 40 minutes underwater.  Friends & family can view the dive & interact with you as well.  All gear is supplied.  No personal gear is allowed with the exception of mask, should you desire.  Guests must bring a bathing suit. No jewelry of any kind is permitted.  The tour is approximately 3 hours long & open to guests 10 years & up.  Guests ages 10-12 must be accompanied by a paying adult.  Current SCUBA certification is required.  A DVD of the dive is available for purchase.  Guests will receive a string backpack.  This tour is $175 & theme park admission is not required.

Epcot Seas Aqua Tour – This tour offers snorkeling in the coral reef environment of The Seas.  Guests will receive a backstage tour of the water filtration system, watch a video about all the marine life contained in The Seas, then spend approximately ½ snorkeling.  Guests are not allowed to dive below the surface.  You do not have to be SCUBA-certified.  All snorkel gear is supplied.  No personal gear is allowed with the exception of a snorkel mask, should you desire.  Guests must bring a bathing suit. No jewelry of any kind is permitted. The tour will last around 2.5 hours & is open to guests ages 8 & up (12 & under must be accompanied by a paying adult).  This tour is $140/person & theme park admission is not required.  Guests receive a photo & string backpack.

The UnDISCOVERed Future World Tour – Learn how Walt Disney’s vision & ideas led to the creation of EPCOT.  The tour will also discuss the history of the construction, the opening of the fountain, & the inspiration of Future World.  Guests will tour the VIP lounge at The Seas, walk beneath Test Track as the vehicles speed by above you, tour Cast Services which houses the massive wardrobe department, & get behind-the-scenes views & information about Illuminations: Reflections of Earth fireworks.  Guests may receive peeks of other special backstage areas as the tour varies somewhat.  Guests will receive a commemorative pin.  This is mostly an outdoor tour involving lots of walking & standing.  The tour is approximately 4 hours & is $64/person.

Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy – For all you holiday lovers, a tour just for you to learn how the Walt Disney World resort is transformed!  Guests will explore World Showcase to learn how holidays are celebrated around the world.  Guests also go backstage to meet the cast members of Holiday Services, who create the decorations in the parks & hotels, then get close up with the decorations used for Main Street, USA.  Guests will also visit a Resort hotel to learn everything about how the transformation takes place, from design & color to architecture & attention to detail.  This is a seasonal tour available select dates in November & December.  Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes are required.  Guests receive a keepsake.  The tour is 3 hours long & is $89/person.  Theme park admission is not required.

Here are some details that you need to know.  Reservations are required. Call 407-WDW-TOUR during the hours of 8am-8pm Monday – Friday or 8am-5pm on weekends or holidays to book your tour.  In most cases, a credit card will be required to hold the reservations.  Most tours require separate theme park admission. Participants must be 16 years or older with a few exceptions as noted.  Cancellation policies vary.  Discounts such as annual passholder, DVC, Disney Visa cardholders vary.  Be sure to ask about all of these when you book!  Click here for Walt Disney World’s website for more information.
