Touring Broadway Production of “Cats” Opens In Minneapolis, Gives Second Chance to Cats In Need

Last night, the touring production of Cats opened in front of a packed house at the Orpheum Theater. The musical, which acclaimed Andrew Lloyd Webber produced, ended its run on Broadway in 2000 and has been readapted to give this timeless classic a second chance to be loved by a new group of fans.

The show has a run time of 2 hours and 20 minutes including an intermission, and showcases one particular night when the Jellicle Cats reunite to celebrate who they really are! The show is full of timeless music, new choreography (which was amazing), and a chance to see a show that I thought was gone forever once more!

True fans of the show can help celebrate this Saturday when the Jellicle Ball will take place at the Jack Link’s Legends Lounge at The Hennepin between 4:30 and 6:30 PM. The show has teamed up with the Animal Humaine Society to showcase cats in need of a second chance at the Ball/ adoption event.

The event, which is free to the public, will showcase a Q and A session, photo opportunities, as well as chance to see and play with adoptable kittens!

Cats will be in Minneapolis until October 30th, and limited tickets are still available! To purchase tickets to see this timeless classic, go to the website here! If you would like to learn more about the Jellicle Ball being hosted this Saturday, check out the event page here!
