Last week, I was invited out to preview the brand new dinner adventure at Pirate’s Town called The Three Musketeers: Voyage Home. The Three Musketeers returned to Pirate’s Town this May as they launch a completely new show under the title of – The Three Musketeers: Voyage Home.
“This new show is something completely unique to the Orlando Market”, said Tony Cardoso, Vice President and General Manager. The highly musical production will feature contemporary hits from the 80’s to today. “We are very excited to see how the audience reacts to the mixture of old meets new”.
The Three Musketeers: Voyage Home recounts the familiar tale of Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and, of course, D’Artagnan, with fun new twists, turns and tunes! Based on the legendary story by Alexander Dumas the show offers a different side to the original storyline, with elaborate new costumes, and new and exciting special effects!
There will be a special preview rate for the month of May of just $29.00 per person, adults and
children. The show will feature:
- Appetizers and entertainment in the pre-show.
- A four course feast featuring baked Salmon or Roast Chicken, Vegetables, Rice and soft drinks
The show will run three times weekly inside the Pirate’s Town Dinner Theater Complex located just off International Drive at 6400 Carrier Drive, Orlando.
Note: Parking is not included in the fee of this show. Parking was $5 a car the night I saw the show.
So now that the information is out of the way, let’s get down to the meat and potatoes! What did I really think of this show? I need to confess that I never saw the old 3 Musketeer show so I have nothing to compare it to. I did not get to see much of the pre show as I was in a media preview of the other shows that Pirate’s town has to offer. The stage for this show is the same stage as the pirate show and some of the same props and such are used.
The storyline of this show was fun, entertaining, and actually kept my attention! I know that sounds bad but believe me it is a compliment! The actors and actresses were on point during the preview and you could tell they love to do what they do. The music as mentioned above is a mix of popular music from the 80s till today. This is not your typical three musketeers show however. This show does have the action sword fighting and action, but it also has a love story with a very in depth plot. I love how this story focuses more on someone other than the 3 musketeers and showcases his adventures of how he wants to be the 4th musketeer!
I am not going to give away any more of the plot so you can see it for yourself but I did like this show. This show is great for the entire family and allows the kids and kids at heart to be apart of the show. I think this is the largest interactive dinner theater show in Orlando. I also love how the kids got to help with the ending of the story and were sworn in as honorary musketeers on the boat!
I would go back and see this show again and actually may do so as the shows change a bit based on who is playing the role. One thing I did learn is how the show changes based on who is playing the role that night!
