The Melting Pot Dip Into Summer Review

Summer coctails at The Melting Pot

 The Melting Pot Menu

The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc., the world’s premier fondue restaurant and the top casual dining restaurant in the 2015 Nation’s Restaurant News Consumer Picks rankings, is dipping into summer with a fondue-take on warm weather favorites including the classic seafood boil and barbecue brisket, paired with handcrafted Samuel Adams Summer Ale shandies and refreshing cocktails.

“Our all-American Dip Into Summer menu takes guests on a taste buds trip across America with some of their favorite summertime party dishes made with fondue flair,” said Melting Pot Executive Chef Jason Miller. “Pair a house-made summer ale shandy with The Melting Pot’s fondue version of a seafood boil and let our unique dining experience make you nostalgic for summertime getaways with family and friends.”

Inspired by classic summer flavor notes from coast-to-coast, The Melting Pot’s featured Dip Into Summer menu is available now through July 12, 2015. Featured menu items include:

BBQ Brisket Fondue At Melting Pot
BBQ Brisket Cheddar Cheese Fondue: Where pit masters meet fondue. Smoked barbecue brisket shredded into medium-sharp cheddar and Emmenthaler Swiss cheeses, then topped with fresh tomatoes and scallions. This fondue was amazing! The natural flavor of the brisket, BBQ sauce and the cheese all melted together for an amazing dish! I hope this dish stays on the menu for a long time to come!

Wedge Salad at The Melting Pot

Wisconsin Wedge Salad: A crisp iceberg wedge with sliced Roma tomatoes, Gorgonzola cheese, hardwood-smoked bacon and peppercorn ranch dressing. This salad was so beautiful, I did not want to eat it!!! The lettuce was fresh and crisp, the tomatoes were beautiful and had great flavor and the bacon was crispy! This is a salad I would stop in to have for dinner for sure!

Summer Promo at The Melting Pot

Summer Seafood Catch entrée with an Old Bay boil fondue cooking style featuring Pacific white shrimp, scallops, lobster & shrimp ravioli, andouille sausage and succulent crab claws served with corn on the cob, red bliss potatoes and a mustard crème fraiche dipping sauce. For me, I actually chose the steak instead of the scallops just because I am not a huge fan of scallops. The entire dish was amazing! I loved the crab claws and the shrimp with the Old Bay seasoning pot! This pot made the natural flavors of the dish really jump out!

Banana Split Fondue at the Melting Pot

Banana Split Milk Chocolate Fondue- This fondue had milk chocolate, bananas, and two different types of nuts. I loved this pot as the flavors really matched well!

Summer coctails at The Melting Pot

To complement these delectable days of summer, The Melting Pot will feature a refreshing handcrafted Summertime Sipper, a cucumber watermelon cocktail made with Malibu Rum, as well as Samuel Adams Summer Ale lemonade shandies in black cherry, lively lemon and ruby red grapefruit flavors. I love the presentation of these cocktails. If you want just one of the cocktails, then you can have it full-sized instead of 3 smaller drinks. My personal favorite was the grapefruit.

Overall, this entire menu was a hit for me! I love and hate when The Melting Pot does these promotions. For me, these items should stay on the menu full time! I especially loved the cheese and the salad! Make sure you check out these promotions before they leave in mid-July!
