Texas De Brazil Review

In everything I cover, one thing reigns above all…. Steak! I am and will forever be a red meat lover. No matter where I go, I tend to get a steak because I love how a different cut can totally change the texture and flavor of the steak. So naturally, when I was asked to cover an all-you-can- eat Brazilian steakhouse, I said YES! Lets look into what Texas de Brazil has to offer!

Texas de Brazil is an all-you-can-eat Brazilian Steakhouse offering a huge selection of meat directly off the fire, an amazing selection on the salad bar, and a huge bar! This is exactly what I am looking for in a fine dining experience! Here is how Texas de Brazil describes their restaurant:

“Texas de Brazil is carving a new experience in fine dining. The restaurant is an authentic Brazilian-American ‘Churrascaria’, or steakhouse, that combines the cuisines of Southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas.”

The salad bar contains 50-60 seasonal items including appetizers, gourmet vegetables, soups, and salads. When you turn your place-card to green, the troop of carvers will pay you a visit & generously serve various cuts of seasoned beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and Brazilian sausage. Add to this house-baked Brazilian cheese bread & traditional side items for an amazing meal.  As if all that wasn’t enough, you can also enjoy decadent dessert selections or relax with an after-dinner drink or steaming espresso.

Texas de Brazil Drink
My drink from Texas de Brazil

On my visit, I started out with the Caipirinha, which is the restaurant’s signature cocktail! This drink consisted of a sugar cane spirit, cane sugar, crushed ice and the juice of one lime! This drink really hit the spot especially on a hot evening here in Orlando! After ordering my drink, I made my way over to the salad bar area. This bar had just about everything you could want from a salad bar and then some! There are different salads, olives, side dishes, cheeses, meats, and a lot more! For those who do not want the meat, you can actually just order the salad bar for a great price! This is a good for some people since you can make a full meal from the salad bar!

After my salad bar experience, I was invited into the kitchen to see the meat being grilled over an open flame! This technique is traditional in Brazil with the meat being lightly seasoned with sea salt to allow for the natural flavor of the meat to come out! I was amazed to see how much meat they were cooking at one time!  However, when you see how busy this place can be you totally understand why!

Once I was done with my tour of the kitchen, it was time for the main courses of the evening! Along with the meat, you are also served some hot sides including garlic mashed potatoes, sweet fried bananas, and Brazilian cheese bread. Now let’s talk about the choices of meat!

One of my Gauchos at Texas de Brazil!

At Texas de Brazil, the skilled gauchos journey through the restaurant with the grilled meats on sword-like skewers taken directly off the grill, stopping at each table to carve slices for diners. This style of service allows guests to experience a wide variety of offerings, including the following mouth-watering selections:

  • Filet Mignon
  • Filet Mignon wrapped in Bacon
  • Braised Beef Ribs
  • Lamb Chops
  • Pork Ribs
  • Brazilian Picanha
  • Garlic Picanha
  • Brazilian Sausage
  • Leg of Lamb
  • Chicken Breast wrapped in Bacon
  • Parmesan Drumettes
  • Parmesan-Crusted Pork Loin
  • Flank Steak
  • Herb-Marinated Pork Loin
  • Brazilian Alcatra
  • Chicken Sausage

The meat was wonderfully cooked! Most is cooked either medium rare or medium, however, you can let your gaucho how you like your meat cooked and they will bring it to you! Every bite of meat that I had was amazing and full of flavor. I love this place and their great selection of different steaks and more for every taste bud!

There was a wide variety of dessert, however, I was so full that I didn’t even want to see the selection! Their choices are:

  • Brazilian Cheesecake
  • Crème Brûlée
  • Brazilian Flan
  • Chocolate Mousse Cake
  • Bananas Foster Pie
  • Key Lime Pie
  • Carrot Cake
  • Pecan Pie
  • Brazilian Papaya Cream
  • Coconut Chess Pie

Honestly I don’t see how anyone can have dessert after so much amazing food but I did see a large amount of people around me eating dessert!

I highly recommend going to Texas de Brazil at least once and trying it out! If you are a huge meat lover like me, then Texas de Brazil is definitely worth your time and money.
