Lowry Park Zoo

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is celebrating Family Fun month by offering free weekday admission for members of the US Military (active, retirees and veterans) and Florida-based first responders. This month long opportunity is the first time the zoo has given back to the member who protect us all. The zoo is one of the states top cultural attractions and is a world-class family destinations.

“Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is proud to offer members of the U.S. military free admission several times annually including Memorial Day, Independence Day (known as Red, White & Zoo) and Veterans Day,” said Tony Moore, chief operating officer. “In our effort to recognize the heroic efforts of others in our state who dedicate their lives to public safety, we’ve extended the offer to include our state’s first-responders.”

To take advantage of the offer, the military member or first responder will need to register online at www.LowryParkZoo.org/Hero, print a voucher and present with valid identification at the Zoo’s ticket windows for entrance on any weekday during the month of August. The voucher is valid for the military member or first responder plus one free guest. The voucher recipient may also purchase up to four additional one-day admissions at half off (adult or child) at the Zoo’s ticket windows for use the same day.

“We know leisure time is limited, so we work hard to provide an outlet for families to spend time together, relax and recharge,” added Moore.

Eligible *first responders for this offer include the following Florida-based public safety services: law enforcement officers (state troopers, sheriffs, police officers, homeland security agents and 911 dispatchers), firefighters, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

Military dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member present, though an adult with a valid military I.D. must accompany minors.

See www.LowryParkZoo.org/Hero for full details.
