The Queen has arrived in Minneapolis and is inviting you to be her guest!
Last night, I was taken back to 1813 London for the party of the year! The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience opened last night at the Lighthouse ArtSpace Minneapolis to a packed house for this immersive experience!
I was invited to come to experience this 90-minute elaborate experience and wanted to share my thoughts on the evening and some tips if you choose to try and catch the eye of The Queen!
The experience is based on the hit Netflix series Bridgerton which is in production of its 3rd season as we speak. Guests of The Queen’s Ball are HIGHLY encouraged to dress up either semi-formal or in Regency-style era clothing for the chance to catch the eye of The Queen.
VIP: Should I get it or not? My resounding answer is YES! VIP allows you a free drink, exclusive seating for the best views, early admittance to the Ballroom, 20% off Bridgerton merchandise, and more! For me, the fact that you have a dedicated seating area with your own bar with amazing views of the performance space was reason enough to recommend it to my readers!
What to Expect: The evening starts with early entry into the Regency Ballroom for the evening of a lifetime. While you wait for the queen, check out some of their amazing drinks which are themed for the evening around the hit show. Also, I HIGHLY suggest getting there early for some amazing photo opportunities under the chandelier on the dancefloor!
There are some great costumes from suits all the way to victorian dresses from other members of the Ton as well as killer musicians that play music from the show. Actors mingle with the crowd, pulling you into the story and teaching you to dance until the Queen herself arrives!
Practice your bow as she walks by, it is highly encouraged to show your love and respect for the throne. Take a chance to catch the eye of her majesty to be chosen as her Diamond of the season! The evening mixes watching performers dance and perform as well as chances to learn dances and actually participate in this highly immersive experience!
At the end of the evening, there are other photo opportunities, clothing from the hit show on display as well as a gift shop to purchase items from your evening!
Overall: I had an amazing evening enjoying dancing, drinks, and a show with other guests regardless if they have seen the show or not. Even if you have never seen an episode of the show, this experience is well worth it as you really don’t need to know anything about the show to enjoy the night’s storyline, show, and dancing!
This evening is great for a girl’s night out all the way to a romantic evening for 2! As with most things, the evening is what you make of it. Let loose, enjoy yourself, and dance the night away in a romantic setting!
This hit experience will be in Minneapolis through December 30th and advance ticket purchase is NEEDED! This experience is already sold out for many nights, so book your tickets well ahead of time to get the best dates and times (and VIP as those tickets sell out the quickest!)
