Plancha

Plancha offers Cuban American flavors on and off the golf course at the Four Seasons Resort!

One of the most popular resorts to open here in Orlando in the last year has to be the new Four Seasons Resort by Walt Disney World. The resort offers amazing rooms, great food, family fun, beautiful views, and all the luxury you would want from the Four Seasons brand! This resort also offers some amazing golf for those that enjoy the sport as much as I do. A course is only as good as the restaurant that is located in the clubhouse. Plancha offers Cuban American food, amazing desserts and drinks to keep you happy on and off the course! Let’s take a closer look at some of the food that is offered by Plancha!

We started out our lunch by sampling some of the appetizers. We started out with the Tuna Ceviche which is served on fresh avocado with a ginger and coconut vinaigrette. The tuna was very fresh and had an amazing flavor that worked great with the avocado. Next we had some guacamole that came with roasted corn relish and was served with fried naan chips. This was one of my favorite appetizers due to the quality of guacamole and how well the naan chips went with the relish! My favorite appetizer of the day had to be the beef empanadas. These empanadas were served with a mango and jalapeno jam on top! The empanadas were freshly made and full of flavor which was amplified by the jam on the top!

Next we moved onto the Entrees. I went with the NY Strip steak which was served with Mamposteao Rice. The NY Strip also had a classic chimichurri sauce on top which brought the nature flavor of the steak and rice. The dish was a huge portion for lunch and very filling!

Some of my fellow bloggers had the Plancha Burger which was a chorizo and beef patty with maduros, white cheddar cheese, lettuce and heirloom tomatoes. Most others decided on the El Cubano which had roasted pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, mustard and homemade pickles. Both the burger and the sandwich was a hit with everyone at the table and they all felt like they were getting a huge portion with great flavor for the price!

We then sampled some of the dessert options here at Plancha. We tried all four desserts which included Piña, Guava Roll, Traditional Flan and Tres Leches cake! The Piña had a great fresh flavor and the passion fruit and coconut really worked well together. The guava roll came with a Creama de Queso and had some bold flavors! My two favorites however were the Flan and Tres Leches. The Flan has Caña sugar caramel and has no added sugar! The Tres Leches was moist and came with a Dulce de Leche. The icing on the “cake” was the huge pieces of shaved chocolate!

Overall, Plancha was a complete hit for me. The place was beautiful, the prices were very affordable for the location and the quality of food and service, and the food speaks for itself! The flavor, quality and portion size of the food really makes you want to come back for more! I know that my visit to Plancha will not be my last by any means!

I want to thank the chef and the amazing staff at Plancha for having me out for a great afternoon at the Four Seasons! If you have not been to Plancha or the Four Seasons make sure you get out there the next time you are at Walt Disney World!
