Join Captain Hook and more on the 7 Seas Lagoon for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage!
Wishes is my favorite firework show at Walt Disney World so I try to see it from a new area each time I visit. I love how a different area can bring a whole new side and love for the fireworks. For me, the best place to see the fireworks is on the water in front of the Magic Kingdom! There are 3 different options for this, Ferrytale Wishes Dessert Cruise, a private charter boat, or the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage! I went out on the water to experience all that the cruise has to offer and wanted to tell you my opinion of the voyage!
The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage sets off from the Contemporary Resort on Bay Lake. Check in is located on the second floor where the conference rooms are located. Upon check in you are given you assignment on either the Hook or Smee boat and some decorations for you to wear to designate that you are apart of the voyage.
To kill time before the room is open, many choose to participate in a scavenger hunt to win prizes on the cruise. The hunt takes place in the floor above and below the check in floor and gives kids and the kids at heart something to do while they wait.
Once the party is ready, you are ushered into the room by two pirates who are your MC’s for the night. Of course one is on the Hook boat and one is on the Smee boat. Inside the room you have the chance to eat and drink all of the wonderful snacks and drinks that the party has to offer! Enjoy all the cake, cookies, popcorn, ice cream and more that you can.
There is also a set up backdrop where you can get your picture with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee before the cruise begins!
Once all the photos have been taken and you have your fill of food, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee walk you down to your respective boats that are waiting to take you out on Bay Lake and the 7 Seas Lagoon!
Your tour takes you to see the Electrical Water Pageant which is one of the longest running traditions here at Walt Disney World. You then go by the resorts on the water while singing and playing trivia games to have some fun. Finally you end up directly in front of the Magic Kingdom for a breathtaking view of Wishes!
Once the fireworks have settled, you return to the Contemporary Resort where the one and only Peter Pan is waiting for you! After you disembark the boats, you also have the chance to meet and get autographs and photos with Peter Pan!
This cruise was a ton of fun for the entire family! This one is geared more towards kids, however I went without kids and had a complete blast!
The cost for the cruise is $69.00 for adults and $41.00 for kids! To learn more about the cruise or to book reservations, go here or call (407) WDW-PLAY!
