Orlando’s Treasure Tavern dinner theatre has revamped it’s already amazing dinner show to now include a show stopping tavern flash dance number!
Madame Gretta and her crown Jewel dancers will whisk you away into a world of cirque, burlesque and fine dining. The Treasure Tavern is a great escape for the adults who want a break from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and the kiddos. The evening starts off with the Jewels, who double as your server, opening with a song and dance number that presents you with your first course of dinner, smoked cheddar and broccoli soup. Along with your soup, a round of drinks is served, the tavern rum punch is highly recommended. It is a perfect combination of fruity and spice!
While indulging in your soup, the show continues with an act that dazzles the stage. Hula Hoop artists and acrobats take the stage and perform stunts and tricks, moving their bodies with the elegance of a contortionist. Next up on the dinner menu is the spring mix salad. The salad is tossed with fresh lettuce, dried fruit and nuts, and cheese crumbles in a sweet dressing. Along with the salad the show continues with a comedic duo whose characters have taken refuge in the tavern. The duo had us belly rolling with laughter! There is a lot of crowd participation so don’t be shy to speak up and volunteer yourself to be a part of the show.
The main course arrived, I had the roasted chicken and Jason chose the beef tenderloin. Both our dinners were piping hot and fit for a king. The chicken was roasted to perfection and the mashed potatoes were divine. The beef tenderloin was juicy and melted in your mouth. Before we could put our forks down, the cast was back with a dance number that included dessert, New York style cheesecake with raspberry drizzle. During dessert we got to experience the best part of the show, the Tavern Flash Dance.
This 20 minute musical number takes guests around the world meeting 42 different characters performed by 7 cast members. The Tavern Flash Dance had us dancing and singing in our seats, the costumes were set to rival those of Las Vegas show girls, and the voices of the cast members could have been straight from a Broadway show stopper. A standing ovation is nothing short of what this cast and crew works hard for each night. They provide food, laughter, and entertainment for 2 hours every Tuesday through Saturday.
I encourage you to experience the Treasure Tavern, kick back, relax and enjoy a night suited for you and your adult friends.
