I was invited to a behind the scenes preview of the brand new exhibit called Leonardo da Vinci: Man-Inventor-Artist-Genius. To learn some of the insides of this exhibit, then click here to check out some information! Best part of my job is getting behind the ropes to be able to bring you exclusive photos before the general public! Lets take a look around and see what Leonardo da Vinci is all about!

This exhibit, which is a touring exhibit has been around for about 10 years but this is the first time it has come to Orlando. The exhibit is normally separated into 2 different tours, one featuring the artwork and the other showcasing the inventions. Orlando is special because this is one of the first times that the exhibits have been combined for a extra special time!

The first thing I noticed about this exhibit was the pure size. After walking in to see a picture of Leonardo da Vinci, you are greeted by a HUGE replica painting of both the Last Supper and 3 different replicas of The Mona Lisa! I questioned why there were 3 different paintings until I took a closer look! From far back, these 3 paintings all looked the same but upon closer inspection the 3 were completely different due to painting techniques!

The inventions of this exhibit were my favorite for a few reasons, First off for me, I didn’t realize just how influential Leonardo da Vinci was! A lot of the things we use today were directly influenced from this man’s amazing inventions! It was so cool to see just how advance da Vinci was over 500 years ago! Also I loved the fact that these replicas were mostly hands on so you could see just how they work and operate!

The exhibit will have a special grand opening that we will be at! On April 18th, for just $20, you can enjoy Leonardo da Vinci, the CSI Experience, a special 3-D exhibit upstairs, a painting class, and our friends from Skeletons will be there also with a special presentation on the human body! Come hungry as well because our friends at Tin Roof will have some food and drinks there!
