Jax 5th Ave Review
As you all know already we love Orlando. Orlando is full of locally owned restaurants that bring a new flair and taste to the area. We love getting the opportunity to go into these places and seeing what they have to offer. Last week, we were invited to a blogger event at Jax 5th Ave Deli and Ale House in Lake Mary, Florida to taste some of their menu and their wide variety of beer. This restaurant is one of the most beautiful and rustic restaurants we have been to in a while. The place sits on a lake that has a patio you can sit on to enjoy the natural beauty. The inside is very beautiful and made from wood from the Swiss alps. The focal point of the restaurant is the bar with a amazing selection of domestic, international and craft beers.
We went to try out some of the food so I want to share with you what I thought! First off, you can tell when there is pride in food. Pride from the owners in what they put out, pride in what the chef makes and of course pride from the servers who deliver your food. There is a lot of pride here at Jax 5th Ave! Everything we had was amazing from the fresh pretzel bites with cheese sauce to the dessert! I wanted to showcase some of our favorites at Jax!
First off the chicken nachos were huge! This plate could be shared with a few other people and still had some left over! The nachos had great flavor and had a ton of toppings that I love! The next dish was the wings. I had both the medium wings as well as the tropical wings. I absolutely loved the tropical wings at Jax! They were full of flavor and had coconut shavings added after they were cooked. They were great and I cant wait to get back and try them again!
For dinner, we enjoyed the Cajun chicken pasta. The pasta had a nice creamy Cajun pasta sauce that had just the right amount of Cajun spices. The chicken was blackened and was very tender. Together this made a great dish! We also enjoyed the Jax special burger. This burger was topped with bacon, mushrooms, onions, Swiss cheese and came on an Onion Roll. This burger was juicy and had a ton of flavor. The burger was my personal favorite of the night!
We had three different desserts that night. We started out sampling the strawberry shortcake. The cake was moist and the sauce was full of flavor. The next dessert we had was the cheesecake bites which was my favorite dessert of the night. The bites were served with both a strawberry and a chocolate sauce and a vanilla ice cream. The cheesecake bites were fried and were warm when they were delivered to our table. I loved the flavor of the ice cream and the cheesecake! The last dessert was the chocolate cake. I did not have the cake, but my family stated that the cake was moist and was rich in flavor.
Overall, Jax is a hidden gem in Lake Mary. We loved the variety of food and beer at this restaurant. The food was all fresh and we did not have anything that we did not enjoy! We think that Jax has a bright future in Lake Mary! Orlando Fun and Food would like to thank Jax for having us out for their blogger event! Have you ever been to Jax? If so what was your favorite dish? If not, what would you want to try? Comment below!
