Fulton’s Crab House At Disney Springs Review

Fulton's Crab House

Fulton’s Crab House brings the magic to your mouth, one bite at a time!

Disney Springs has a ton of iconic scenery! From the tents of La Nouba, the balloon from Characters In Flight, and of course the ship that houses Fulton’s Crab House! I have walked past this ship multiple times over the years but never had the chance to eat there until last week! I was invited to come do a food review from the chef and wanted to share my thoughts on one of my new top choices for dinning at Disney Springs!

Fulton's Crab House

First off before I get to the food I want to comment on the restaurant itself. To have a seafood restaurant inside a beautiful ship was a brilliant idea and brings so much charm to Disney Springs. The decor was beautiful and combined a high class restaurant with every day items that would be found on the ship. There are three floors to Fulton’s Crab House and I was fortunate enough to get a seat by the window on the second floor overlooking the rest of the West Side of Disney Springs!

I started out my evening with a sampling of the appetizers. The appetizers I had were:

  • Crab Cake made with blue Crab and maque choux served on a fried green tomato with a house made remoulade sauce
  • Beef Tenderloin Skewers which come with garlic mojo, toasted hazelnut romesco and pickled red onions
  • Lobster Corn Dogs which are served with a salsa verde and a sweet chili aioli
  • Ahi Tuna Lettuce Cups which are prepared with a sesame and soy marinade and served with cucumber slaw and a sweet chili aioli in baby iceberg lettuce.
  • Crab Ceviche prepared with blue crab, avocado, peppers, sweet onions, lime, and a tomatilo salsa

The appetizers alone were good enough to sell me on Fulton’s Crab House alone! The crab cake had a ton of flavor and placing it on top of a fried green tomato was brilliant! The beef skewers were very tender and had a very distinct flavor with the mojo. The lobster corn dogs were cooked to perfection and the sweet chili aioli sauce made it that much better! I loved how the Ahi Tuna cups were wrapped in lettuce and you can eat them as a whole. The tuna was high quality and the mix of sesame and soy sauce topped off the flavor of this dish for me! Overall, however the crab ceviche was the winner. The mix of crab, veggies and tomatilo sauce made me wanting more! Honestly, I may go back and eat at Fulton’s Crab House for the ceviche alone!

For an entree I decided on the bone in NY Strip and crab claws for dinner. The NY Strip is a 16oz. bone-in cut steak which was wood grilled with caramelized onions and mushrooms and served with a sea salt crusted baked potato. The steak was great quality and the onions and mushrooms were a great addition to the dish. I added the scored crab claws to the meal and was so glad that I did! Now that I have had scored crab claws, I will never want to eat crab another way!

My wife had the filet Mignon and garlic mashed potatoes. The 8oz. tenderloin filet is wood grilled and served with garlic mashed potatoes. My wife stated that it was one of the best filets she has ever had and the mashed potatoes were perfect in flavor, texture and portion! She also added on a Maine lobster tail which was grilled! The lobster tail was a huge portion and the meat was amazing and sweet! One of the best lobster tails I have had the pleasure of having!

For dessert we had the cheesecake as well as the Key Lime Pie! The key lime pie had just the right flavor of tart and sweetness and the cheesecake was full of flavor! The cheesecake was my favorite because it came with a berry compote, and the texture and flavor of the cake itself was amazing! It is now one of my favorite desserts at Disney Springs!

Fulton's Crab House

Overall, I am very impressed with Fulton’s Crab House at Disney Springs! The service was amazing, the food quality was top notch, and the restaurant was beautiful! I am happy to say that Fulton’s Crab House has made my top 3 list of best places to eat at Disney Springs! I for one know that I cannot wait to get back and have some more crab, dessert and fun with the amazing staff and chefs at Fulton’s Crab House!
