Looking to steal some amazingly good donuts without robbing the bank? Check out Five-O Donut in Sarasota, Florida!
People all over Sarasota County are flocking to the new donut shop in downtown Sarasota called Five-O Donut Company. Funny enough, its located right down the road from the Sarasota Police Departments headquarters and the Sarasota courthouse. The space is decorated with flashing red and blue lights, a squad car door, the outline of a body holding a donut on the ground, and a place to pose for your mug shot complete with height strips and police barricades with crime scene tape! Even the logo is a cartoony police officer with a nightstick in one hand and a donut in the other! Its all in good fun and I don’t see anyone complaining of the theme with donuts this good.
Five-O Donut is a homemade, small batch, gourmet donut shop. They hand cut all their donuts. Working through the night to make sure they are stocked every morning. They serve yeast raised, cake, croissant, vegan, and gluten free donuts. They have many specialty donuts and they are constantly coming up with new combinations. Part of the fun of this amazingly good shop is their play off words for their treats such as the Cops and Robbers, Super Troopers, and The Snitch. Don’t know what’s in them or want to special make a doughnut for a special event? No worries, my friends at Five-O Donut have you covered!
Five-O’s owner, Christine, is no stranger to making amazing baked goods. She owns a bakery that is also located in downtown Sarasota called Sift Bakehouse. She also operates a stand at the local farmers markets selling her sweets. You can only bet her donuts are just as yummy!

Five- O jokes that their donuts are arrestingly good and that you have to dispose of the evidence quickly, but it’s rare if they aren’t sold out by 11:00 am. They are open 7 days a week. Weekdays 7:00 am till they sell out and weekends 8:00 am till they sell out. They also have a surveillance camera that is on while they have donuts available so you can check to see if they still have your favorite still in the case.
With all this talk about donuts… I’m getting pretty hungry for one from Five-O right now! To learn more about these amazingly good treats, check out their website here!
