This summer, Mako rises for the first time over SeaWorld Orlando! Let’s get a behind the scenes look at this new hypercoaster and what it will hold!
This summer is going to be huge for the theme parks here in Orlando! Universal will be opening up Kong, re-opening Hulk, Disney will be opening River of Lights, and SeaWorld will release Mako! Mako is the tallest, longest and fastest coaster in Orlando reaching heights of 200 feet and speeds of 73 mph! We had the chance to attend a hard hat tour with the SeaWorld Orlando team to see where Mako was and just what to expect from the ride, area and a ton more!
Mako, which opens on June 10th, was designed for maximum airtime allowing guests to feel like a Mako shark attacking its prey with sharp turns and dives. This ride does not have any loops and unlike earlier reports no water effects. The first lift hill which sits 200 feet over SeaWorld Orlando will offer not only great views of Orlando, but also a ton of immersive entertainment.
From the time you step into the queue until you are off the coaster, Mako packs a punch in not only the extreme factor but also the immersive entertainment realm. This coaster will have some major technological advancements to heighten the experience from video, lighting and a 38 minute musical score which will be heard in seamless progression from the entrance of the attraction and culminating as you breach the top of the lift hill.
One thing is for sure… When this amazing hypercoaster opens on June 10th, 2016 visitors to SeaWorld Orlando will be in awe! I know without a doubt that I am excited to ride it and know that you will be as well!
