Ferrytale Wishes: Best place to watch Wishes while enjoying food and drinks at Walt Disney World!

Ferrytale Wishes

If you are like me, you have seen Walt Disney World’s Fireworks spectacular “Wishes” at Magic Kingdom numerous times from various places around the park or even from nearby resorts. Recently I was given the opportunity to partake in their special viewing from aboard the General Joe Potter Ferry Boat, as a part of Walt Disney World’s new dessert cruise! This specialty dessert cruise allows guests of all ages to enjoy a special viewing of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks display while enjoying specialty desserts and drinks.

We began our night by checking in at the Transportation and Ticket Center near the Ferry boat launches and enjoyed some sparkling apple cider. We were also given light up necklaces and a special pin. While on the cruise they explained that you can also partake in a game, in which you are given a special flashlight to try and find hidden mickeys around the boat that will spell out a secret message!

After boarding the boat, we headed across Bay Lake and were able to catch a showing of the Electrical Water Pageant before the fireworks show began. We sampled a variety of delicious desserts and enjoyed some cocktails. They do offer kid friendly beverages as well as a small variety of beer and wine and specialty cocktails for the adults on board. The cast members even walked around offering the famous Mickey Bar Ice Cream to guests to enjoy while watching Wishes.

Once it was time for fireworks, the boat parked in a wonderful spot on the lake, and they piped in the wishes music so that everyone on the boat was able to hear. The view from the lake is really spectacular and magical.  So go ahead a book your dessert cruise, you won’t be disappointed!
