Yesterday, Universal Orlando announced a brand new attraction that will be hitting the streets of Universal Orlando in 2017. The new attraction, Fast & Furious: Supercharged. Little is known about the ride at this time except for the following from Universal Orlando:

Fast & Furious Orlando

This ride is going to fuse everything you love about the films with an original storyline and incredible ride technology. You’ll get to check out some of the high-speed, supercharged cars you’ve seen on the big screen. You’ll be immersed in the underground racing world made famous in the films and explore the headquarters of Toretto and his team. Then, you’ll board specially-designed vehicles for an adrenaline-pumping ride with your favorite stars from the films.

To make way for Fast & Furious: Supercharged, Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Starring You! will close permanently on September 8, 2015, with Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue closing later this year.

At this time, we are unsure if this ride will mirror the new attraction at Universal Hollywood but the concept seems to be the same. If so, the ride will be a tram simulator ride in 3D similar to the King Kong 3d attraction at Universal Hollywood.

While some are excited to see the new attraction, others are worried that the days of old at Universal are over. With Disaster closing on September 8th, Beetlejuice this year and rumors of Twister closing soon many are worried about loosing a sense of the past at the parks. I know for myself, I hope to see Beetlejuice relocated and not completely taken away as it is one of my favorite shows at Universal Orlando!
