Swim with dolphins at Discovery Point at SeaWorld San Antonio!
Discovery Point, SeaWorld San Antonio’s newest pavilion opened a few weeks ago near the entrance to Aquatica. The area is home to a group of bottlenose dolphins that you can interact and even swim with. I had an opportunity to swim with the dolphins on a media trip to Texas a few weeks ago and wanted to share my interaction with you.
Dolphins are one of the smartest mammals that live in the sea. They are very playful and social animals which is evident when doing interactions with them. Upon arrival, just like the other interactions, you are taken to be fitted for a wetsuit and given a brief educational and safety talk. After the talks, the fun of getting into the water with these amazing animals begins.
The training and interaction session is broken down into 3 different sections. In the first section, you help train the dolphin and get a hands on feel of the animal. The second section is the photo session where you take posed pictures with the dolphins that can be purchased at the end of the interaction. Lastly is the swim session where you are filmed being pulled across the pool by the dolphin.
The cost of the dolphin swim and interaction at Discovery Point change based on availability and time of year. To check the cost for your vacation and to purchase a package to swim with the dolphins at SeaWorld Discovery Point in San Antonio click here!
