Dine With Shamu San Diego Review

Dine With Shamu

Enjoy some amazing food with one of the biggest dinner guests you will ever encounter for Dine With Shamu in San Diego’s SeaWorld!

Dine With Shamu

During my media trip to California I had the chance to spend the day with Chef Axel at SeaWorld San Diego on a food tour of the park. To read about the amazing food selections at SeaWorld San Diego, click here!  At the end of my day, Chef Axel surprised me with a private table to have dinner with SeaWorld’s biggest star, Shamu!

Dine With Shamu is an all you can eat buffet backstage at Shamu Stadium where you enjoy all you care to eat and drink while seeing Shamu up close and personal! There are so many amazing opportunities at this dinning experience and I will share mine with you! Here are my top 3 reasons that Dine With Shamu is a must do at SeaWorld!

1- Great Food

As you can see from my food review of SeaWorld San Diego, they take food seriously here! The same goes for Dine With Shamu! There is so much food to choose from in the buffet that there is something for everyone! The food choices ranged from beef tenderloin, pasta, curry chicken and fish! There is also a great salad bar, hot and cold sides and a wide range of desserts including cookies, cakes, and more to keep anyone happy! For the kids, there of course are some family friendly choices such as chicken nuggets and more!

2- Shamu

This experience is unlike any others at SeaWorld. Here you eat right beside the tank and can witness these amazing animals swim and play around while you eat! While enjoying your dinner you get to witness the majestic behavior of the Orca Whales swimming around and playing with each other! You also get the chance to watch the whales interact and do behaviors with the trainers!

3- Great Information

Dine With Shamu

Throughout the entire presentation a trainer is on the microphone talking about SeaWorld, Shamu, and the behaviors of the whales. Kids are even encouraged to ask questions during the talk to get some great information on not only the whales, but on conservation and how to better take care of the environment. There is even time after dinner for you to have a one on one conversation with one of the trainers.

Dine With Shamu is a great addition to SeaWorld San Diego! Make sure you check it out on your next vacation!
