Hi everyone, Kevin here from Orlando Fun And Food. Now that we are officially into summer, I hope you all have some great things planned for you and your family to do this summer.
This weeks entry of my comfort food in Orlando is the C&D Oriental Buffet. Their location is 7220 South Orange Blossom Trail. They are north of the Florida Mall, and across the street from Shiners Car Wash. They are open for lunch and dinner. Of course they have great selections on the buffet, but you can order from the menu, and you can pay per ounce off of the buffet to go. Ok, here we go, lunch all you can eat buffet is $6.99 plus tax. The dinner buffet is slightly higher because they add more fish items and crab legs. I have not been there for dinner only lunch, and I have to say this is one of my favorite places to go for Chinese Buffet.
They have sushi, a small salad bar, and peel and eat shrimp to start off your meal. But I head straight for the buffet stations. The items I selected for lunch that day were Pepper Chicken, B.B.Q Pork, Vegetable Lo Mein, Chicken with Broccoli, Sauteed Green Beans, Friend Won Ton, and Steamed Pork Dumplings. And yes, I did go back for a second plate, but with less on it. If you are still hungry they have a few dessert items, as well as tubs of ice cream from which you can serve yourself.
The place is not much to look at, and the owners and staff are not all that friendly, BUT, I am not going there to make friends, I go there because I like their food. When I have friends and family come into town for an extended stay I always take them there, and they have liked it. I hope you give it a try, and come on, all you can eat for $6.99! Such a bargain!
See you next week for part three of Comfort Food in Orlando.
