Orlando Fun and Food stopped by Cocina 214 in Winter Park yesterday to check out their block party. The party kicked off yesterday with some music, drinks, and a fun party atmosphere! Today there will be a race called the Running of the chihuahuas! All proceeds from the races will benefit Winter Park Lost Pets and A Cause 4 Paws Rescue! After the race, stick around for some awesome food, drinks, and party! Monday, which we all know is Cinco De Mayo, will showcase a Patron luge, discounted corona, and some awesome giveaways! Cocina 214 is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a weekend-long fiesta that includes a two-day block party (May 3 & 4), the 2nd Annual Running of the Chihuahuas and a Patron ice luge event.
All day Saturday and Sunday, a local DJ will be spinning Latin and Top 40 hits, while ambassadors from participating partners, Jose Cuervo and Corona, serve up drinks.
On Sunday, May 4, locals can enter their dogs into the 2nd Annual Running of the Chihuahuas ($10 in advance or $15 at the door), with all proceeds benefiting Winter Park Lost Pets and A Cause 4 Paws Rescue.
The party will continue on Cinco de Mayo (Monday, May 5) as the restaurant celebrates its three-year anniversary with a Patron Ice Luge at 5 p.m. followed by Corona giveaways and Don Julio tequila samples.
