Chris Lane, Nelly and Florida Georgia Line blow away audiences across the USA on the Florida Georgia Line Smooth Tour!
As the sun went down in Tampa, the heat really rose as Chris Lane, Nelly and Florida Georgia Line took the stage at the Mid-Florida Credit Union Amphitheater in Tampa, Florida for the Florida Georgia Line Smooth Tour. The tour, which is playing amphitheaters and arena’s around the USA, sometimes adds the Backstreet Boys into the mix however on our leg of the tour they were not included. We had the chance to check out the tour and I wanted to give you some feedback on what I thought of the tour and to check out some exclusive photos from the concert!
After touring with Dustin Lynch and Rascal Flatts, Lane is making a name for himself adding pop beats, falsetto tunes and a country message. Chris Lane is best known for his hits such as “Fix”, “Let Me Love You”, “For Her”. and his newest single with Tori Kelly “Take Back Home Girl”. Chris Lane combines the best of pop and country music with smooth vocals, pop and country beats, and a flair that shows that he is destined for the main stage of Country Music! I can honestly say I didn’t know much of his music before the concert but after seeing him perform live, I am now a Chris Lane Supporter!
Nelly brought a flair to the concert that I really didn’t expect from the tour. Nelly, who is best known for his rap music from the 90’s, showcased some of his greatest hits such as “Hot in Here”, “Shake Your Tailfeather”, “Air Force Ones”, and “Dilemma”. The hip hop star, who performed with his dancers, brought a new energy to the performance with their music that had even the older generation dancing at their seats. I must say that I was surprised by how many people knew most of the Nelly songs and had a great time singing and dancing along!
No doubt the main act of the Florida Georgia Line Smooth Tour was of course FGL! If you have never seen FGL live, then I would highly recommend it. The guys (Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley) are one of the performers who sound better live in my opinion then they do on the records. Both Hubbard and Kelley bring an energy that is unmatched in the country scene today. One of the things I love about seeing FGL live is their underground mix songs that have been unreleased that combine county and hip hop. The guys performed a ton of their hits including “H.O.L.Y”, “Dig Your Roots”, “This is How We Roll”, and of course “Cruise” that they performed with Nelly for an encore!
Overall, this tour was one for the books that matched amazing talent, great stage presence, and music that could headline their own tours into one amazing evening of music! Visually, the LED back screen, lights and smoke, and fire, enhanced the performance without overpowering the stage presence of the performing artists. If you have a chance to check out the Florida Georgia Line Smooth Tour when they come to your town make sure you do!!!
Love FGL!
