National Burger Month is upon us, and that can only mean one thing! Margaritaville has pulled out all the stops and are offering new burgers this month only! For a limited time only (till the end of May), you can order one of the three new burgers off the menu, or you can stay true to your roots and order the Cheeseburger in Paradise! Jason recently went to Margaritaville at City Walk here in Orlando and tried all the new burgers! First off lets see what Margaritaville has to say about National Burger Month and the three new burgers!
To prepare for the month-long celebration, Margaritaville connected with thousands of fans spanning the country, encouraging them to share their version of the perfect hamburger. The burger components surveyed ranged from the preferred type of patty to toppings, condiments, buns and sides. Out of more than 17,000 respondents, almost 82 percent of those surveyed preferred beef to turkey or vegetarian patties. An astounding 93 percent voted cheese as the number one topping, with cheddar as the favorite. Lettuce, tomato, bacon and pickles also got top votes. Ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard were the most popular condiments with barbecue sauce and Heinz 57 coming in fourth and fifth place. Naturally, the favorite side item was French fried potatoes with 77 percent of the respondents opting for a big kosher pickle and 53 percent choosing a cold draft beer as their beverage of choice to enjoy with their burger.
Margaritaville will celebrate with the following specialty burgers created by Director of Culinary Bill Rohm; Baja Burger topped with carne asada, Oaxaca and Monterey jack cheese, avocado, pico de gallo, and key lime crema, the Bayou Burger seasoned with Cajun spices, caramelized onions and Andouille bacon topped with a Cajun remoulade and the Chimichurri Burger topped with all the trimmings and chimichurri, a green sauce that goes perfect with grilled meats. All burgers can be substituted with veggie or turkey patties and are available with gluten-free buns. Burgers are served with a choice of French fries, sweet potato fries or mixed green salad.

The Baja Burger was the winner of the three burgers for me, and that is saying something! This burger punched a lot of flavor, and they mixed well together! I was surprised how well I actually enjoyed this burger! This burger has a huge helping of marinated carne asada, pico de gallo, two different types of cheese and a key lime crema! It was amazing, and I am actually kind of sad this burger is not on the menu full time!

The Bayou Burger packs the right amount of heat and flavor to make this a contender for a great burger! The Cajun spices and remoulade really worked well together, and to be topped by some crispy Andouille bacon made this burger a huge hit!

The Chimichurri burger needs no introduction! Margaritaville has some killer chimichurri sauce, and to put that on top of a burger makes it killer! This burger is the same as the Cheeseburger in Paradise, however the sauce is the Chimichurri on the side!

My overall pick was the Baja! I still cant get over how tasty the burger was, and how much flavor it packed! I hope you get a chance to stop in at Margaritaville and try some of the amazing burgers! I know for sure I will be going back to have another before the end of May!
