Celebrate Food Tours joins forces as a sponsor partner of Orlando Fun and Food!
Celebration Florida is known for a lot of things here in Orlando. The small community near Walt Disney World showcases a small town feel with some great restaurants, shops, residents and more. I wanted to share with you information about our new sponsorship partner, Celebrate Food Tours. Celebrate Food Tours takes guests on a walking and tasting tour of some of the best restaurants located in downtown Celebration.
The tour, which takes about 2.5 hours to complete, takes guests on a progressive lunch of sorts while sharing history about the restaurants, shops and community. I will give you the information on the restaurants and shops that we visited, however I will not give away all the amazing food that you will taste!
The lists of the restaurants you will visit are:
- The Columbia
- Celebration Town Tavern
- The Bohemian Hotel
- Imperium Wine
Here is what the website says about each restaurant:
Founded in 1905 by Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez, Sr., the Columbia Restaurant in Tampa is Florida’s oldest restaurant. Enjoy the old world charm and world class food at the Columbia’s 5th location in Celebration.
Celebration Town Tavern
The term “tavern” can evoke a lot of images, comfort being one of them. Be assured, this family-owned New England seafood restaurant is just that. Fresh seafood is flown in from Ipswich Mass several times weekly. Enjoy whole belly clams, Maine lobster, Boston scrod, Fish N’ Chips etc.
Perched on the lake, the Bohemian Hotel Celebration, Autograph Collection evokes the elegance of yesteryear – coupled with contemporary convenience and an unparalleled level of service. You’ll feel transported to a simpler era the moment you step into our hotel.
Imperium Food and Wine was recently voted one of Orlando’s favorite wine bars. From the extensive wine list, boasting wines from all over the world, to the local art hanging on the walls, to the ever changing craft beer selection. Relax on one of the outdoor patios, sip on a nice glass of wine, and enjoy one of the delicious dishes Imperium Food and Wine has to offer.
Kilwins Ice Cream
WOW is what most people say when the walk into our Kilwins store. The smell of the chocolate, fudge and caramel products being made along with the fresh baked waffle cones can be just WOW. You can see lots of products on display from the hand dipped chocolate, Caramel apples, pretzel sticks, Twinkies, Oreos, marshmallow puffs and Krispie treats. You can also see the Fudge, Caramel Corn and Brittles with Cashew and Pecan nuts being made in our copper kettle and then mixed on the marble slabs.
The walking tour which takes place rain or shine also takes you on a path around the lake and thru the residential district where you will see the architecture, parks, waterways and more that make Celebration a place of pure beauty and elegance!
I will give away some information about the food. The tour goes in the order which is listed above so you can guess which course goes with each location. The food (and drinks) that you will be tasting are things that each location is known for such as the 1905 salad at The Columbia. Side note: The 1905 salad is now my absolute favorite salad anywhere!
The price of the tour is 55.00 and includes all your food and drinks at each location. Here are some of the must know details about the tour:
- All food and drinks are included in the price
- Tour runs rain or shine
- The tour is a walking tour so dress and plan accordingly.
- Tour is ADA and Wheelchair friendly
- Coupons will be distributed for you to return to the restaurants at a later date!
