Buddy Valastro and family cut ribbon on first Carlo’s Bakery Orlando at the Florida Mall!
An iconic piece of New Jersey has arrived here in Orlando. Carlo’s Bakery Orlando, the iconic bakery from Buddy Valastro and family has opened their first shop in the southeast here in Orlando. With his sister Grace and his right hand man Mauro by his side, Valastro cut the ribbon for the first shop in Orlando in front of thousands of his fans and supporters!
The shop, which is located at the Florida Mall (8001 South Orange Blossom Trail,
Orlando, FL 32809) is the first location for Carlo’s Bakery outside of the Jersey area besides Las Vegas. I had the chance to visit the shop and talk to the man of the hour Buddy Valastro himself about what this location means to him and what he visions for the next step of the bakery!
Fans of the show Cake Boss showed up as early as 4am on the day of the event just to get a chance to meet Buddy as well as get some amazing pastries and cakes. The first group of people in line was a family from the UK here on vacation. When asked why they arrived so early, they stated that “They will probably never get another chance to meet Valastro.”
I had a chance to talk to Buddy Valastro about what this bakery location and Orlando meant to him. He stated that opening a location in Orlando was very important to him. “I have been coming here for 10 years with my family. I love Orlando and everything this town has to offer!” He also stated that he had dreamed of opening a bakery here in Orlando and he is glad that his vision has come to reality!
We also talked about his relationship with Disney. Buddy Valastro has been coming to Disney to participate at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival for the last 10 years. “I have been working with Disney way before I became Cake Boss!” stated Valastro. “I have a great working relationship with Disney. When I am there, they treat me like family. Disney will always be a huge thing for myself and my family!”
We also had a chance to talk about the price of the goods you can find at Carlo’s Bakery Orlando. Carlo’s Bakery has a ton of great food from cannolis, pies, cake, cookies and stuffed pastries for you to enjoy at a good price! I was surprised to see just how affordable the prices were. Buddy said “I want this bakery to be a place where everyone can buy something! We are a family owned and operated business. Just because I am the Cake Boss doesn’t mean that people shouldn’t be able to afford what we make!”
The new Carlo’s Bakery Orlando is now open and are taking orders now for the upcoming Christmas season and beyond!
