After a few hours of running from attraction to attraction in the 100+ degree heat, kids can get grumpy & tired just like adults. We are using lots of energy running & playing and we need snacks! But what to get and what will the kids like? I’m here to help!
Walt Disney World has many, many snack options! First let’s talk ice cream. There are many ice cream options in the park. My favorite is The Mickey Bar with its vanilla ice cream covered in dark chocolate. They are $3.75 or 1 snack credit using the Disney Dining Plan and can be found at most of the carts around the parks. My second favorite is the Dole Whip! This delicious treat comes in pineapple, vanilla, & orange flavors. You can also get it swirled. Dole Whips can be found in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom Park, the Africa section in Animal Kingdom Park, & the Africa section of World Showcase in Epcot. Dole Whips are $3.79 or 1 snack credit using the Disney Dining Plan.
Another snack I love is the candy apple. This snack is big though & should be shared or kept for later snacks. Many of the snack/candy stores have them & some even let you watch while they are being made! There are many, many varieties from just a plain chocolate covered apple to elaborately decorated apples, even some that look like characters such as Mickey Mouse or Kermit the Frog. The apples start at $9.99 & are NOT eligible as a snack credit for the Disney Dining Plan. Another snack big enough to share is the rice crispy treat. These are found in the same stores as the candy apples & come in various shapes, sizes, & decorations. These start at $3.50 or 1 snack credit using the Disney Dining Plan.
Another snack that I like is fruit! There are many carts around the park selling pieces of fresh fruit. You can find apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, & pineapple slices. Yum! They begin at $1.49 & are 1 snack credit using the Disney Dining Plan.
Those are my favorite snacks & should help your grumpy kids! What snacks do you like?
