International Drive is going through a huge transformation right now. With new businesses opening and and exciting projects being announced there is so much to see and do on I-Drive! Today, one of those new and exciting projects opens to the public! On the north side of International Drive sits the NEW Artegon Marketplace. This location use to be called Festival Bay Mall, but has been going under a renovation and transformation. Let’s look deeper into Artegon Marketplace to showcase what they have to offer and what sets them apart from the rest!
First off, Artegon Marketplace still has all the amazing stores from before like Ron Jon, the movie theater, Bass Pro Shop, Gods and Monsters and the indoor mini golf. To the amazing line up, this transformation and rebranding is bringing new restaurants such as Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill. There will also be a german restaurant that will be opening sometime this year.
The main focus on Artegon is what they have done with the rest of the space. Inside, you will find 165 shops and boutiques that are owned and operated by small business owners from in and around Orlando showcasing homemade goods, paintings, and food! The shops range from top of the line clothing, beautiful paintings, home decor, and even baked goods, local honey and homemade soap and lotions!
I got a sneak peek at some of these shops and a chance to talk to some of the owners a few days ago. The overall consensus was that they are excited for today! For most of these owners, Artegon Marketplace is the first shop that they have ever owned since most of them have been working from home or online. They are also excited about the community feel of Artegon and the clients that it will bring.
For the kids and the kids at heart there is also Florida’s largest indoor ropes course! This multi-level course includes different levels of obstacles, bridges and even zip lines! For the little kids, there is even a course that they can do where parents can walk along with them! For an additional charge you can take a leap of faith in the Quick Jump where you leap off a platform from the top of the course in an exhilarating (yet controlled) freefall to the bottom!
Artegon Marketplace brings something that central Florida has needed for some time. This area mixes the feel of a mall with the intimacy of a arts and craft festival. It gives the people of central florida a place to go for great quality homemade goods, and it allows local businesses to grow in a stable and weather friendly environment! I cannot wait to see what happens with Artegon Marketplace and how the people of Orlando take it! For more information about Artegon Marketplace, check out their website here.
To help celebrate the opening today there will be amazing performances until Saturday! These performances will include the Blues Brothers, Stilt Walkers, Street Beatz break dancing and more! To see the full lineup of performers click here!
