I will be starting a new series called “Through the eyes of a 12 year old.” Today, I will be starting off that series with what rides and shows I like at Animal Kingdom. When we first arrive at the park, I like to look at the animals on our way to the Tree Of Life because it feels like a mini zoo. One of my favorite attractions is A Bug’s Life because it teaches young kids to be kind to insects and it is very fun.  Expedition Everest is my  favorite ride of all time. This coaster is a thrilling adventure during which you ride forward and backwards in some parts.  At the end, there is a yeti that stands on top of a platform that you go under and he is terrifying. Don’t worry – he does not move anymore! I also enjoy  Kilimanjaro Safari because it has a lot of animals and they may come up close to your safari truck.  My favorite place to go in Animal Kingdom is Rafiki’s Planet Watch because it has s a petting zoo, you can watch animal operations, and even meet Rafiki. Dino-land is another one of my favorite places to hang out because there are fun games, cool rides, and an awesome playground. This playground is great for older kids because it is much more complicated than little kids playgrounds.

When you and your family get hungry, I suggest Flame Tree BBQ because it is a very good restaurant and has great selections for kids my age. Another restaurant with great kids selections is in Dino-land called Restaurantosaurus. After eating, I like to watch Finding Nemo because it is relaxing and it is also air conditioned. The best show in my opinion is The Festival of the Lion King.  It is a very energetic show with great acts!  At the end you can join in the fun and dance with the dancers.
